Protect our open space, water and community
How You Can Help

The Friends of the Foothills coalition is organized at the grassroots level. Without the ongoing support of our volunteers and activists, we could not survive. Our volunteers work closely with campaign staff on many parts of our campaign to protect our open space, clean water, threatened wildlife and livable communities.

Hours and time commitment are flexible--whether you can give two hours a month or ten, there are ways to help. Also, if you provide your name and email address in our right column "Join Friends of The Foothills Today!" you will receive invitations to events and updates about the campaign.

These letters are printer ready for you to sign and mail, but are especially compelling if you personalize or handwrite your letter. It only takes five minutes and can make a world of difference, so please send a letter TODAY!

Tabling

Tabling is a fun and easy way to get involved with the campaign. We staff information tables several times a month at the San Clemente Farmer's Market and at the Trestles Beach parking lot. We also host booths at local festivals. Donate just a couple hours a month and work with other volunteers to get the word out.

Take a look at our Event Calendar page for upcoming dates for various activities which we will need volunteers.

Letter Writing

Please take a moment and send a letter to the Secretary of Commerce.  The TCA is currently appealing the California Coastal Commission's NO vote against the Foothill-South Toll Road.  Please let the federal government know that our state park is too valuable to lose for a pay-to-drive road.
